Neck Cream...Is it necessary?

I have been on the fence about buying a neck cream. One day I found myself staring at my neck while checking out my skin using a magnifying mirror. I gulped. Sign of aging left its imprints on my neck. I felt like I was watching myself in a video: I kept rewinding the mirror image that was reflected back at me.

From online research, I learned that the skin on your neck can appear less plump and feel drier because it is not stretched across bones like your cheeks and has less sebaceous glands.

Recently, I received a generous sample of Sonya Dakar UltraLux Neck & Décolleté Treatment from Barneys. This cream felt like a souffle that sank into my skin without feeling greasy. Even better, I noticed less visible lines. I am tempted to buy a full size of this "magical" potion; however, I am still on the hunt in finding a facial cream that can address the different needs of my skin on my face and neck.

Le Métier de Beauté True Color Eye Shadows

Le Métier de Beauté True Color Eye Shadows are vibrant, creamy, and pigmented. These eye shadows blend beautifully together without becoming a murky mess. I became mesmerized at a LMdB counter, when I saw the eye shadows glisten under lights. The makeup artist at the counter encouraged me to run my fingers over the shadows; I was immediately struck by the creamy texture and the "true" color transfer to my skin.

One note of caution--watch out for fallouts during application! Perhaps the shimmers prevent the ingredients in the eye shadows from congealing . A dust of color will cover the bottom lashes if you're not careful. I haven't tried the matte shades, so I don't know if the "dustiness" will be less noticeable. While I love the color pay-off and the ease of mixing the eye shadows, the hassle of cleaning up the fallout might prevent future purchases of Le Métier de Beauté eye shadows.

Tom Ford Traceless Stick Foundation in Fawn

Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Sticks come in twelve shades; they provide sheer to full coverage, depending the application. "Traceless" refers to an almost undetectable finish of these foundation sticks. Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick is emollient and blends easily. I bought this foundation stick to conceal and brighten the corners and the under eye area.

A Tom Ford makeup artist recommended Fawn, the third color from the lightest shade. TF Foundation Stick in Fawn works beautifully with my medium skin and slightly discolored under eye area.

Dior Lip Glow surprised me upon application. While browsing a Dior counter, I noticed that my lips felt parched. A Dior makeup artist offered me Dior Lip Glow. It immediately hydrated my sensitive, dry lips. soon, I noticed that my lips appeared brighter and moisturized.

According to a makeup artist, the Dior Lip Glow behaves like a "mood ring." It applies clear; however, it adjusts its color to individual lip pigmentation. I'm glad that stumbled upon this product .
